When Bravo fans found out that Tom Schwartz was joining Winter House season 3 some may not have assumed he’d end up in a romance with Below Deck’s Katie Flood. A two-week vacation to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, was the perfect getaway for Tom. He’d just been in the midst of Vandermpump’s ‘Scandoval’ and needed some space to breathe.

Speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this December, Katie spilled the tea on where she stands with Tom.
The Below Deck star described Tom as being “quirky and peculiar,” but added that he “owns it.”

Katie was ‘surprised’ by Tom’s kiss
During Winter House, Katie was adamant in a confessional Tom kissed her first.
Vanderpump Rules star Tom said: “It just happened. One minute you’re just sitting there laughing, next minute your tongues are locked and I liked it.”
Although both Bravo stars enjoyed the kiss, Tom hesitated over taking things further with Katie – because his ex-wife is called Katie (Maloney) – and he thought it would be like a “slap in the face” to her.
Speaking to Andy on WWHL, Katie said she was pleasantly “surprised” by the make-out session.
Tom also appeared on WWHL in late November and described his kiss with Katie as “whimsical, warm, and spontaneous.”
He added the Below Deck star is “devastatingly gorgeous.”

Despite admitting Tom “does some questionable things,” Katie told Andy she believes he “has a good heart.”
She continued to add more positive comments about her co-star saying: “I adore Schwartz, I love him, I think he’s amazing… he’s trying to learn and be better…”
On the subject of being “friends with benefits,” Katie didn’t give a concrete answer, but added that she and Tom are “flirtatious” and have a “cheeky relationship,” which they “kept very light.”
