Soriana Briceno, a preschool teacher, was arrested on Monday for being abusive to children in the classroom.

According to authorities, two preschool teachers are facing child cruelty charges after alleged abusive behavior was captured on their classroom’s live cameras.

Zeina Alostwani and Soriana Briceno are found guilty of assaulting students in the Pre-Primary B classroom of Parker Chase Preschool in East Roswell, Georgia.

As per investigators, they began their investigation on June 1 after being approached by a concerned parent of a child who attended the Parker-Chase Preschool in the 2800 block of Holcomb Bridge Road.

Soriana Briceno works at Parker Chase Preschool in East Roswell as a preschool instructor. She is only nineteen years old, according to sources.

On Monday, Briceno was detained for child cruelty after parents witnessed them abusing two and three-year-old youngsters via a live camera feed from the school.

Police have not unearthed private information about her. As a result, there is currently no information regarding her family background or husband.

The school’s operator, Endeavor Schools LLC, issued a statement saying the behavior is being examined. They also stated that they will not tolerate any failure to adhere to the highest standards of care.

On June 6, investigators detained both two preschool teachers, accusing them of hurting children in the classroom, according to the Roswell Police Department.

Authorities released surveillance video found in Pre-Primary B Classroom, claiming it is being utilized as evidence in the investigation.

In the footage, the second instructor is seen stepping on the child’s hand from behind, palm down on the floor, and keeping her foot firmly against the child’s hand. She then takes a step forward and kicks the child in the back with her knee and shin.

Investigators are searching into several weeks of classroom video to discover if Alostwani and Briceno, or any other teachers, assaulted other students. The youngsters in Alostwani and Briceno’s class are between the ages of two and three.

According to 11Alive, Reg Griffin, the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning’s Chief Communications Officer, is examining ‘allegations of inappropriate discipline’ alongside the Roswell Police Department.

On Tuesday, two instructors appeared in Fulton County court, where Alostwani was given a $75,000 bond by the prosecutors. Briceno was not granted a bond due to her immigration and asylum circumstances.

Reportedly, People who are found guilty of child cruelty in the first degree in Georgia face a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of twenty years in prison.
