Oscar Orlando Burgos is a Honduran politician who has served as the President of the National Congress of Honduras since 2014. He is a member of the National Party of Honduras and has been a member of the National Congress since 2006. Burgos was born on 18 January 1957 in Yoro, Honduras. He studied law at the National Autonomous University of Honduras and graduated in 1982. He then went on to pursue a master's degree in public administration at the University of Miami in the United States. Burgos began his political career in 2006 when he was elected to the National Congress of Honduras. He was re-elected in 2009 and 2014. In 2014, he was elected President of the National Congress of Honduras. Burgos is married to María del Carmen Pineda and has three children. He is 63 years old.
