Who is Christian McCaffrey?
Christian Jackson McCaffrey is a running back for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He played college football for Stanford, and the Carolina Panthers selected him with the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Running back by profession, he attended Valor Christian High School. McCaffrey played college football for Stanford, where in 2015 and 2016 he was named to the first team All-Pac-12.
He was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2015, the Associated Press Player of the Year, the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and the recipient of the Paul Hornung Award and the Jett Award. He was also a unanimous All-American.
The Carolina Panthers selected Christian McCaffrey with the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was named to the PFF Second Team All-Pro and second team All-Pro in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $17.2 million contract with the Panthers in 2017, which included a $10.7 million signing bonus.
McCaffrey scored nine rushing touchdowns and 11 receiving touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons.

Christian McCaffrey parents
The majority of his kin have participated in organized athletics. His uncle Billy McCaffrey played basketball for Duke and Vanderbilt in college. Dave Sime, an Olympic track star, is his maternal grandfather.
His father, Ed McCaffrey, graduated from Stanford and played for the football team while attending. He entered the NFL and played the majority of his career (1991–2003) for the Denver Broncos.

Luke, one of his brothers, plays wide receiver for Rice University. His older brother Max played football in the NFL for a variety of clubs, including the Raiders, Green Bay Packers, and 49ers. Max played collegiate football at Duke University.
